Aluminum core power cable
Aluminum core power cable is a power cable with a hard round aluminum wire core. Aluminum core power cables are currently the most widely used power cables in the market, with a market share only lower than copper core power cables.
Compared with copper core power cables, it also has its obvious advantages:
1. Cheap price: Copper poles are 3.5 times the price of aluminum poles, and the proportion of copper is 3.3 times that of aluminum, so aluminum core cables are much cheaper than copper core cables, suitable for low capital projects or temporary electricity use.
2. The cable is very light: the weight of aluminum core cable is 40% of that of copper core cable, and the construction and transportation costs are low.
3. Aluminum reacts quickly with oxygen in the air to form an oxide film, which can prevent further oxidation. Therefore, aluminum wire is a necessary material for high-voltage, large cross-section, and large-span overhead power transmission.
The rated voltage of medium and low voltage aluminum core power cables is generally 0.6/1 kv、1.8/3kv、3.6/6kv、6/6（10）KV、8.7/10(15)kv、12/20kv、18/20(30)kv、21/35kv、26/35kv。
The cross-sections of conductors include 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2.5, 4, 6, 10, 16, 25, 35, 50, 70, 95, 120, 150, 185, 240, 300, 400, 500, 630, 800, 1000, 1200, etc.
